Autex Acoustics

• Decorative wall panels and tiles – Options such as Groove panels and sculpted acoustic tiles introduce pattern and texture while adding sound absorption to office walls.
• Acoustic wall coverings – Autex Composition combines acoustic treatment with a pinnable, hook-and-loop receptive surface, making it useful for project spaces and staff information areas.
• Ceiling tiles and suspended systems – Products such as Quietspace ceiling tiles and Frontier rafts provide different approaches to overhead treatment. Selection depends on ceiling construction and the proposed installation.
• Acoustic desk screens – Cove slide-on screens introduce visual separation and sound-absorbing material around compatible desktops.
• Timber-look acoustic treatments – Acoustic Timber products offer printed woodgrain finishes for interiors where the acoustic treatment needs to complement timber-look furniture or joinery.

Colours, dimensions, acoustic ratings and mounting methods vary across the range. Review the specifications of each selected product before combining it with other treatments.

• Open-plan workplaces – Combine room absorption and desk-level screening according to the layout and activities of each team.
• Meeting rooms and boardrooms – Address reverberation where glazing, hard ceilings and other reflective finishes affect conversations or video meetings.
• Project and training rooms – Use suitable pinnable wall coverings where acoustic treatment also needs to accommodate notices and working materials.
• Reception and breakout spaces – Incorporate decorative acoustic finishes alongside seating, tables and interior features.

Compare wall acoustics where suitable wall space is available, or consider ceiling acoustics where windows, storage and displays limit wall treatment.

• Define the acoustic requirement – Identify whether the issue is lingering sound within a room, desk-level distractions or noise entering from elsewhere. Sound absorption does not solve every noise problem.
• Compare the installed configuration – Review acoustic data for the proposed product thickness, mounting method and spacing. Ratings from different installation arrangements are not automatically interchangeable.
• Plan treatment coverage – Consider room volume, occupancy, existing finishes and furniture. Obtain an acoustic assessment where the project has a specific performance target.
• Check surfaces and fixings – Confirm wall or ceiling suitability, required hardware and installation access. For desk screens, check desktop thickness and clearance around equipment.
• Coordinate colours and textures – Compare available finishes across the selected products. Where colour matching is important, assess physical samples alongside furniture finishes.
• Confirm ordering details – Check whether the product is sold individually, by pack or by length, along with minimum quantities, current lead times and installation requirements.
