Office Chairs Australia

• Ergonomic office chairs – Compare adjustable seating for daily desk work. Look at the specific seat, backrest and arm adjustments on each model, as the ergonomic label alone does not tell you how a chair will fit.
• Mesh office chairs – Explore chairs with mesh backrests, including models with upholstered or mesh seats. Compare the seat construction and adjustment controls alongside the backrest material.
• Executive and meeting chairs – Select seating for private offices, boardrooms and meeting spaces. For daily desk use, prioritise fit and adjustment; for meeting rooms, also consider chair width, table clearance and ease of movement.
• Visitor chairs – Furnish reception areas, waiting rooms and guest seating beside a desk. Compare the chair’s footprint, seat height, frame style and upholstery with the space and intended use.
• Training and event chairs – Plan seating for presentations, training rooms and spaces that change throughout the day. Check handling weight, storage requirements and any model-specific stacking limits.
• Drafting chairs – Match seating to elevated desks, counters or work surfaces. Compare the seat-height range, foot support and base dimensions with your working height and available space.
• Heavy duty office chairs – Explore options for higher load requirements. Assess the stated weight capacity alongside seat width, depth, adjustment range and the manufacturer’s intended usage conditions.

• Staff workstations and shared desks – Choose seating around daily tasks and the people using each workspace. For shared chairs, consider the adjustment range and how easily different users can operate the controls.
• Home offices – Check the chair against your desk height, under-desk clearance and floor surface. Include space to move the chair back and access nearby drawers or cupboards.
• Meeting rooms and reception areas – Plan chair quantities around the usable room space, table layout and access routes. Allow for armrests, chair movement and comfortable entry and exit.
• Education and administration – Match seating to staff offices, reception desks and training spaces. Consider how frequently chairs are moved, shared, cleaned or stored between uses.

• Seat height, width and depth – Compare the dimensions with the intended user and work surface. Seat-height adjustment changes the distance from the floor; seat-depth adjustment changes the usable distance between the backrest and front of the seat. These are different features, and not every chair offers both.
• Backrest and arm adjustments – Check which controls are included, such as back-height adjustment, lumbar adjustment, tilt tension or a seat slide. Confirm whether armrests are fixed, adjustable, optional or absent, and whether they will clear your desk.
• Upholstery and seat construction – Compare mesh, fabric and leather options against your preferences and cleaning requirements. A mesh back does not necessarily mean a mesh seat, and upholstery alone does not determine how adjustable a chair is.
• Weight capacity and usage – Review the manufacturer’s load rating and any stated usage conditions separately. A higher weight capacity does not, by itself, establish suitability for continuous or extended use.
• Certification requirements – If your procurement brief specifies tested seating, explore our AFRDI Approved chairs. Confirm the approval details for the exact model and configuration you intend to purchase.
• Warranty, care and flooring – Review the manufacturer’s warranty coverage and care instructions. Check that the selected castors or glides suit your floor surface, and confirm compatibility before ordering alternative components.
• Delivery and assembly – Review our shipping and assembly information when planning your order. Most furniture is supplied flat-packed, with paid assembly available in most standard metropolitan shipping zones. Confirm other locations and any delivery access requirements with our team.
